TEXAS DRUNK DRIVING LAWYER

Blood Alcohol Level In DWI Cases

You may hear BAC (blood alcohol content) .08 mentioned when discussing DWI cases. BAC .08 stands for a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or greater. There are three ways of calculating BAC:

1) the number of grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood
2) the number of grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath
3) the number of grams of alcohol per 67 milliliters of urine.

Unless you have a calculator and are very proficient at math, you simply cannot calculate your BAC as you drink. You should also know that the amount of alcohol required to meet each of the above criteria is not equal, so you may be innocent by one criteria and guilty by another. Furthermore, due to the definition of DWI, you may have a BAC below .08 but still be guilty of DWI.

If you have been arrested for DWI contact the Dallas criminal lawyers at Grossman Law Offices.
